During my last guided meditation, I learned about Wasi Sabi, a Japanese philosophy.
Wabi Sabi is about the appreciation of the transient beauty of things and the acceptance that life is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.
Wasi Sabi is about accepting the cracks and your own flaws and mistakes. It is accepting what is, staying in the present and appreciate the simple, transient stages of life and therefore the different transitions we go through.
5 main principles guide us;
2️⃣ All things in life, are in an imperfect state of flux, including you, so strive not for perfection but for excellence instead.
3️⃣ Appreciate the beauty of all things, especially the great beauty that hides beneath the surface of what seems to be broken.
4️⃣ Slow and simple, is the only way, to feel the joy of what it means to be alive.
5️⃣ To be content exactly where you are with all that you already have, is to be happy.
